kinda getting used to life here. my housemate jane is super nice. she has a parakeet named tweety bird - holy hell. and is getting a dog soon. woohoo! school starts next week and my timetable was so screwed up for the longest time. most of you know im hopeless in spore as it is. but here, im worse! i get lost like all the time. its so ridiculous.
as you know, i sleep late and get up late. and nobody does that here. the most annoying thing is that every morning at precisely 530am - thats five-thirty AM, a load of stupid birds outside my window start cheep cheep cheep-ing non-stop like they are high on crack or something. i feel like throwing a shoe! apparently, this is true for a lot of people who live here. urgh.

anyway, met up with chew wei today and had a really really great time shopping our socks off and just getting to know each other. its so strange we never got close in sec school. but its so great seeing her. i mean, having new friends is fine and dandy and all but it makes such a difference to have an old familiar face. it just felt so good seeing her.
i would really rather stay with mark and jason as planned, but they're so far away. staying with jane is great, but she's seldom home. and having people to come home to is better than nothing but a tweety bird, even if mark and jason do annoy the hell outta me -if either of you read this, im just kidding-
but well, all in all, i think im really okay. people here are nice. im having fun. meeting new people. and strangely, doesnt feel quite that different being here after all :)
