thanks everyone who celebrated my bday with me!
had home-made pizza with my cousins and family on weds, pastamania with the bball team on my bday, billy bombers with the laopos on fri, and jack's place with the bitches on sat. it was like a four-day long celebration and i really enjoyed everything. thanks guys -sob-
hui and sabbie came down to redhill to surprise me after my work on thurs, but i have to say that i wasnt surprised because they are so lousy at planning these kinda things and i'd already guessed. haha! we went to the toilet and sabbie had a combo C, i had a combo B and hui had a few side dishes. lol. later, we tried our hand at fortune telling with a jar. shall not relate the results because it was quite upsetting for sabrina haha!

movie of the year: stardust. its my fav movie of the moment. love claire danes. caught it with the linkin parkers, sheerah and amy on fri at PS after dinner. really missed them so muchhh. we had so much to catch up on we didnt stop talking at all. haha. poor amy got bullied by us so badly, and i dont know why i keep walking into walls and going in the wrong direction! everything seemed very reflective that day. heh. the movie is really fantastic, it made us want to glow. lol. and im dying to read the novel by neil gaiman that inspired it. its a definite must-see! neil's books are fantastic.
gorged on swensons with my bitches chokey and candy on sat. chokey's treat! i couldnt believe it! candy and i jokingly mentioned she should treat us since she's always, i mean always, so so late, and after much persuasion - she did! haha. anyway i really needed all this girl-time, was starting to get seriously emo from stress.
i ought to write a book though: "the 5 people you meet on the train to work every morning" of course, inspired by mitch albom's: "the 5 people you meet in heaven".
1. the perfume lady: whose perfume is so strong its wafting throughout the entire train and makes you wanna gag.
2. the makeup lady: who persists in applying her makeup on the train while swaying dangerously in every direction (she does this for a good 45 mins)
3. the im-so-cool-i-dont-need-to-hold-the-pole-guy: who thinks he's so cool and doesn't need to hold the pole for balance, thus leans heavily on everyone around him and trods on their toes. note: to recognise this guy, look for signs of maniacal gum-chewing, arm-crossing and super loud music emanating from earphones.
4. the guy with the humongous backpack: who carries a homongous backpack (duh) and swings it vigorously around, thus wacking everyone within a 2metre radius off their feet - at last count, 5 ppl toppled.
5. the ahma: whose life depends upon her getting a seat on the train. look out for vigorous handbag swinging, umbrella poking and swift seat-snatching action from her. warning: steer clear.
im sure everyone's met at least one of these 5 train-goers before. if you havent, then you dont live in singapore and you ought to count your lucky stars.
and this month's serious topic: dolphin killings. these people disgust me. its not as though i were vegeterian - in fact, im a certified meat-erterian. but this is taking it too far. i find that lately, i've developed a dislike for shark's fin soup as well. and thus, inspiration for my second book: "animal-meat disgusto-factor".
1. dog meat: eew? can anyone say pets?
2. dolphin meat: eew? can anyone say harmless and friendly?
3. shark's fin: eew? throwing the shark back into the water after taking its fin?
4. monkey's brains: eew? cutting off the top half of the monkey's head and scooping the brains right out while the monkey's still alive and kicking?
5. leather: is overrated and forbidden by this future crocodile huntress.
extinction and global warming people, come on!
