if anyone has watched the lord of the rings trilogy (which fyi, is one of my fav movies of all time), then you'll have heard and seen this. lord of the rings is one of the most emotional war movies in my book. love every aspect of it, special especially the huge war battles. but this part of the movie is undoubtedly my fav.
the steward of Gondor has sent his only surviving son and a handful of knights to battle, with extremely dismal odds. Here, we see the hobbit Pippin, aka billy boyd, at minas tirith, singing them into battle. absolutely heart wrenching. and kudos to billy boyd for coming up with the tune himself. this scene is one of the best in the movie. the build-up to it is crucial to the emo-factor but as i am stealing this from youtube, this is only a small portion and quality isnt the greatest. for full emo effect, do watch the entire movie. lol.
Great soundtrack in lord of the rings, including the ending theme song: into the west by annie lennox. one of my fave emo songs. im a huge emo sap, i know. damn.
